About

I’m a local Dad who grew up in Melbourne’s Bayside suburbs and after a long stint living in the UK and Europe, I moved back to Cheltenham 15 years ago with my wife Mette and our 2 daughters Ella and Marli. A few years back we moved to the house where we’re now living in Mentone and more recently we added a new member to our family; Bailey, our Golden Retriever!

I am passionate about advocating for our community, something I’ve actively been doing for many years as Chair and Spokesperson for Save The Edgy and Founder and Co-Convenor of Kingston Save Our Streets (K-SOS).

On a personal note, aside from spending plenty of quality time with my family & friends and taking Bailey for walks to the beach and Cheltenham Dog Park, I love live music, keeping active and I'm a 4th generation Saints tragic. I try to get down the coast as often as possible to surf with mates and also enjoy my golf and Tuesday night tennis! I studied Business Administration with majors in Management and Marketing and have been working in the Exhibitions Industry for over 2 decades, managing consumer and trade expos across a wide range of industries.

Marli attended Gordon Street Preschool when we first arrived back in Australia, before joining Ella at Cheltenham Primary School. Both girls then went on to Mentone Girls Secondary College and whilst Ella completed her VCE a few years ago and is currently studying overseas on an exchange program, Marli is in the home straight of her final year at school. Marli had many fun years at Mentone Little Athletics and both girls have loved their time at Mathis Dance Studios and Bullets Allstars Cheerleading.

Having lived 12 years overseas, I feel I’ve got an even greater appreciation for all that Kingston has to offer. With lovely beaches, wetlands and open spaces, sports facilities, walking & cycling paths, convenient public transport and fantastic schools, as well as top-quality restaurants, bars & cafes, great local shops and other local businesses, not to mention our family friendly streets with a true sense of community, we are truly blessed and I can’t think of anywhere else I’d prefer to raise my family.
