Hi, I'm Chris Hill and thanks for visiting my website.

I’m a local Dad and have led important local campaigns for the last 6 years, including Save the Edgy to protect the heritage listed Mentone Hotel and more recently Kingston Save Our Streets (K-SOS) to oppose changes to our residential zones and protect Kingston's existing 1 & 2 storey neighbourhood character. With your support, I'd love the opportunity to continue to advocate for our community as your Independent Councillor for Como Ward in the City of Kingston.

I will listen to people's calls to retain current planning protections in order to defend our quiet residential streets from overdevelopment and will request a review of Kingston’s heritage buildings, to mitigate the risk of losing iconic local landmarks like the Edgy.

In addition I will advocate for a cleaner, greener and more accessible foreshore and streets, updated playgrounds, more open space and off-leash dog parks, improved safety and traffic management around schools, more funding for sporting clubs, more support for local traders to help promote more vibrant shopping centres, as well as incorporating affordable and social housing and eco-friendly construction in Kingston’s urban renewal projects.

I'd like to assist Council to develop an improved communications strategy, to ensure residents of Kingston are better informed and engaged, particularly regarding key issues such as the Housing Strategy.
